Getting Here/Accomodations

Please note: Apifera moved from Oregon to Bremen, Maine in spring, 2016. Bremen is near Damriscotta and is about 1.5 hours from Portland, Maine.

Please, no 'pop-ins'. Gates are locked, guard dogs on premises.

Apifera Farm:
315 Waldoboro RD [this is also Hwy 32 on your map]
Bremen, Maine
house line 207-529-5284

From Portland, Maine {airport it is about 1.5 - 2 hours}

295 towards Bath and get on Rt. 1
Take Rt 1 to Damriscotta, get off Rt 1 onto BUSINESS Rt 1 through downtown Damriscotta.
At the McDonalds, take a right onto Biscay RD
Take Biscay and then a left onto Turner RD [Turner Rd is just past a large Biscay Orchard]
Take Turner to Waldoboro RD [also known as 32]
Turn right, on Waldoboro RD, go about 200 feet and we are 2nd house on right

Driving times are based on little to no traffic-many of the roads are windy and slower, so probably allow more time

Oak Gables, Damriscotta, Maine [about 15 minutes]

Mill Pond Inn, Nobleboro [abut 10 minutes]

The Inn at Round Pond [about 10 minutes]

Alewives & Ales in Damriscotta

Le Vatout, Waldoboro [about 10 minutes]

Other nearby towns:
Wiscasset [very cute, charming old village, about 25 minutes from Bremen on Rt. 1

Nearby villages:
Round Pond

Damriscotta has all you need and is lovely. The Grill is wonderful food, Chrissy's has excellent breakfast and lunch. Hanford Grocery has all you need too.

Rockland is arty on the ocean off Route 1, about 25 minutes in light traffic.

Camden is upper end and cute on ocean, but a good 40 minutes or more.

Boothbay is touristy in summer but has an amazing garden, lots of eateries, and closer to Portland

I would start with Damriscotta and Wiscasset for B&B's.

Coastal Destinations:
Rockland, Camden, Rockport {about 1.5-2 hours}
Portland area {about 1.5 hours}
Boston area {abut 2.5 - 3 hours}
